17. Notice the Fit ECU is running the drive-by-wire system. Gillespie and the boys at Hasport could have easily taken the easier route, running a cable while omitting the electronic throttle control. But for Gillespie, learning to work with the drive-by-wire-system would hopefully allow Hasport to incorporate future upgrades to the engine management, such as stability control and other key features not yet unlocked. To keep the K-Pro happy, the throttle position signal A was split and sent to the K-Pro. A custom adapter plate was also made to conjoin the Fit throttle body to the intake manifold.
