Evo IX P.I.A.
I have I have an EVO IX MR, and as many EVO owners know, USDM EVOs don't have the Active Yaw Control (AYC) that JDM EVOs do. Is it possible to swap the system in? Is it easy? Would it be beneficial in the long run, assuming that I were to eventually do a big build on this car? Also, is it possible to change the torque distribution, since it is locked at 50/50, front/rear? And what does the Mine's ACD controller change?

No, it is not easy to install the JDM S-AYC system in a USDM chassis. But anything is possible. The additional harnesses, pumps, sensors, lines, etc. would be expensive to acquire and an absolute bitch to wire in to your existing dash, harnesses, etc., and the benefits could be easliy lived without. There are several torque split controllers available for the USDM chassis: Mine's, CyberEVO, and Pi Research. Mine's is a stock unit pre-programmed to make the factory torque split maps more aggressive, while the CyberEVO has up to 12 maps that you can load into your factory unit on your own using a laptop, and the Pi Research CDC box is the norm in European Group N Rallys. If you have a big budget, then the Pi unit is the way to go since it is fully programmable. If you don't, stick to the Mine's. If you have plenty of time to spend at the track to find out which of the 12 maps work best for you, then the CyberEVO software might be what you want.
