Unlike its RHD Japanese cousin, the steering column somewhat obstructs the turbo's area. In addition, the 60mm wastegate also shares this area with a 90mm downpipe. This made real estate a real premium. Relocated down by the subframe, the wastegate was positioned out of the way of the downpipe and the steering column. View Related Article
