2004 Honda Civic Si Ep3 Hatchback Intake

Installation of the new K&N intake was a simple process that required less than a handful of tools. It was no surprise that the K20A3 engine responded well to the upgraded intake system where we netted a total of 7 peak horsepower and more than 5 lb-ft of torque over our initial baseline run. While the filter helps to improve on horsepower gains, we liked the fact that the Typhoon intake system comes with an official CARB EO sticker to ward off any unsuspecting law enforcement when attempting to send your car to the local ref station.

Pay close attention when swapping over the intake air temp sensor. We've heard of owners cracking the sensor itself and sending the engine into check mode. If you're more concerned with the loud roar emitting from your engine bay due to the new intake, rather than the newfound horsepower, perhaps now is a good time to reconsider an aftermarket intake and go buy yourself a nice cozy electric vehicle and call it a day.

Dyno charts reveal the intake created horsepower from 3500 rpm 'till redline with a consistent power increase of 3 to 5 hp throughout the powerband. Torque numbers came in at an impressive gain of 5 lb-ft from 4200 and remained consistent 'till redline.
